Sounds grand to me, but a lot of work! This weekend we're hosting one for Scott Powell in Seattle and even getting 30 people together for one lecture and coordinating his flight was easily dozens of hours of effort. Maybe you could manage something smaller that would still break even, but it's definitely it's own specialty.
I wouldn't rule out coming if I were invited, even though I'm technically in the Southeast.
It would have to be short and cheap! And any speakers would need to be local so we don't have to pay for flights (good point, Rachel).I don't think we would have any where near 30 people. Perhaps I'll look into it.
