Here's an oldie. It's comet Holmes--remember the comet that 'exploded' sometime back in October? This image was actually not taken through the telescope. Our older telescope (like the new one) had motors that would track the motion of the stars across the sky. Hubby had a board mounted to those motors on which he could place the camera. So the camera would be exposed for a long time and still track the stars. He calls that piggy-backing. I'll post a few other images he took that way.
