Backwardness of Remote Villages in China

As late as last year, villagers in Henan, China were selling dinosaur fossils as dragon bones. The bones would be ground up and used to treat ailments like dizziness, through ingestion, and broken bones, an application.

I don't know what is more disturbing--that the people there still thought it was possible that dragons existed or that they didn't know they could have been eating dinosaur bones.
