Playing in a Virtual World

Boing Boing has a post up referring to a gallery of people and their virtual alter-egos at the NYT. Some of the resemblences are good and some are complete departures (no surprise there--you're either going to be yourself souped-up or someone else). An interesting stat they included in the captions were the number of hours people spent played the game in a week. The top was 80 by someone not working (easy to see that--no job to compete with), the second was 70 by a software developer! There goes your whole weekend and a good portion of every evening.
