How My Husband Spent Father's Day

Our only true celebration together was heading out to breakfast. Apparently mothers get dinner and fathers get breakfast! I've never seen the semi-local diner so crowded.

Aaron spent his afternoon assembling a tiny birdhouse kit for my five year-old to paint and then in the basement--showing the eight year-old how to use a hand saw, a drill press, and a hammer when she mostly made her own bird house. What a great project--no plans required, and scrap wood is sufficient for the size. She really got into the whole thing, too! Even the five year-old spent the afternoon just watching.

Later on he headed out and bought himself the same BB gun he had as a kid: Daisy Airguns- Famous 'Red Ryder' 1938 BB gun
